  XP Home nia, XP Pro need 1.5GB at the least.
  
  The USB Port speed for USB 1.1 is only 12mb/s, but USB 1.2 is like 50mb/s?
  
  But a normal hard disk's speed is 133mb/s.
  
  So your setup take around 2-3 hours or more, as the USB is slow crappy slow. Regardless how powerful your Graphics card or CPU is.
