Are bulbs connected in parallel brighter than connected in series?
Cos my sis in pri6, teachers taught her series brighter.
Now in sec, teachers taught me parallel.

I think depends on how many bulbs are connected in total too -

parallel is the one where by if one bulb blows the rest still stays because they are all like side streets feeding off a main highway? but series is more like all connected to the highway. lesser resistance due to shorter distance travelled by electricity, but it'll be one for all all for one here.
correct me if i'm wrong guys, i just scraped through physics...

Series - if one blub fused, then all the blub will not light up. Also the more blub u have the less bright it will be cos Rt = R1+R2+R3.... And the cable need to be larger in size to carry all the load coz total current will flow thru the whole circuits.
Parallel - can avoid above suitation

yoyo.. ur sister's teacher is right.. coz power dissipated in the bulbs=I²R. the greater the power, the brighter the bulb. for bulbs connected in parallel, current is being spilted up, thus they are less bright. for bulbs in parallel, the current flowing thru each bulb is constant so generally the bulbs are brighter.
