Senile Dementia?

  Hi everyone, who knows what are the causes of senile dementia and what are the symtoms?
  
  My grandmother fell down recently (but didn't hurt her head) and had a operation somewhere on the thigh where it was fractured. Now she always talks about things in the past and would also not able to recognise people at times. She would also forget whether she bathed already or not on some days, even though the maid said that she did.
  
  What should we do? Thanks for the information.

  My grandma is close to 95 years old and she is suffering from dementia, she cannot remember things anymore. She cannot even remember who I am when I visit her. You tell her things just 2 minutes ago and she'll forget the next. She is healthy overall but I guess its brought about by old age as well. She is also suffering from mild diabetes.

  I have a suggestion for them to feel at ease with you.
  
  Wear the same bangle or bracelet which bears the same design.
  When she ask who u are, tell her and then put both the identical bangle/bracelet to show her you wear the same thing. It can ring a bell, or at least make her feel at ease.

  So is there any cure for this or just medication to stop this? Like where should we bring her to?
