As the MM has told us numerous times, these talented people could be in the private sector earning far higher salary. Some of their exceptional problem solving skills are :
1. When people complain not enough jobs, they created thousands of jobs.
2. When mosquitos breeds in citizen's flower pots, they hired mosquito catchers to solve the problem.
3. When theres too many cars, they introduce COEs and built more ERP gantries.
4. When too many cars are scrapped, they introduce 10 years loan and released more COE.
5. When too many windows fell off from HDB, they introduce many contractor to fix our windows.
6. When too many bus fare cheats, they introduce jail terms.
7. When theres a shortage of birth, they introduce child benefits and welcome FTs.
Singaporeans should consider themselves lucky to have such great leaders to guide them. However, not many appreciate the brilliance of our leaders.. -

i mean residents should have done their part, govt should have had regular mosquito checks island wide. they should have spray the damn bloody smoke island wide once a month too. they should have remind the people and teach the people about dengue. y must wait till so many ppl kena then they come out n talk in front of the tv to tell us about dengue. you know y. coz u nvr tio dengue b4 you dont know. i din tio b4 but i know if tio how it feels like man. by now total up so mani cases i pity the ppl hu kena. i still hear ppl complaining they got bitten by the mosquito. govt must be more firm la. if not the nex election we see a big change. PAP know they sure win so they slack. i dun even know hu my MP is.. must be a slacker hu doesnt even show his face. doesnt even make house visits. maybe he will do that when ONLY election comes

How often do you see elderly work in other countries? Whereas in singapore, elderly have many job opportunities :
1. As a cleaner in kopitiam or food court.
2. Self employment as a taxi driver.
3. As a dish washer.
In America, I realise the problem of older workers getting jobs is far worse that in Singapore. I saw very few old folks working in America - they are mostly sitting in parks or playing with their grand children. I guess they do that because they are unable to find a job.
In contrary, we see many old folks in Singapore working as cleaners and at MacDonalds. We should be thankful that in Singapore even old folks can find jobs.
In America, old folks are jobless and sitting around doing nothing. It is obvious the American government is unable to solve the structural unemployment problem and are unable to redesign jobs for older workers. These old folks in America must be suffering without an income and spending so much time in the park when they should be working. -
