In 2, you may have all the power in this world to achieve whatever you really wish for in life (which is what the devil wants men and women to have). But after your life ends, in the spiritual realm where the devil rules, your spirit-soul
is what the devil seeks to catch and imprison in Hell for eternity. In short, the Devil's "gospel" is for men/women to enjoy a limited shell life and spend your spirit-soul for the rest of eternity in Hell.
In 1, someone by the name of Jesus stepped into the shoes to sacrifice himself to save the world, suffer the pain of being nailed, blamed and cursed.
He died, resurrected and rose to Heaven. No big deal to men/women when they're still alive but the significance start to dawn on them when they die and their spirit-soul leave their body and float around in this world and the devil wardens start to seek and catch their spirit-soul to imprison them in Hell. Those who knew Jesus (and Jesus knew them) cried out for help and Jesus rescue them and put them in a house in Heaven to live eternally with him. Those who cry out to Jesus (but Jesus don't know them) cried and regretted they believed the devil's word he never existed and rejected cursing him when they were still alive.
1. is eternal death. 2. is eternal life.
