  eh. Need how many points to go there ar.?
  My prelim results quite bad loh. cannot go JC for first 3 months.

  I was from MI(Used to be JI during my time)..never really checked out the admissions criteria..but I had 17 for my L1R4, back in 1999.
  
  Damn, the fellows who laughed at me for going JI, are not even in university right now.

  JC need L1R5, which is your English and relevant 5 subjects. You only need L1R4 for MI. However, when your L1R4 adds up, it must be less than or equals to 20 points. Minus away your CCA points. For JC, L1R5 points must also be 20 points or less.
  
  Example:
  English : B4
  Chinese : A2
  E Maths: A2
  Combined Humnities: B3
  Chemistry: B3
  Sub Total: 14 points
  CCA points : 10 which is grade B4
  
  For CCA grade A1 to A2, you can minus away 2 points from your L1R4. For CCA grade B3 to C6, you can minus away 1 point from L1R4.
  
  Therefore, total is 13 points.
