Electricity to go up

Electricity tariffs will be increased by about 1.31 cents per kilowatt for the next three months (October to December 2005).
SP Services says this is due to higher fuel oil prices.
With the increase, a family living in a four-room flat, whose monthly electricity bill is $75, may need to pay about $5 more.
The tariffs are reviewed every three months.
The next review will be in January next year. - CNA/ir

Do they ever consider reviewing down the electricity tariffs? It's just increase, increase and more INCREASE

How you you review it to go down when external factors are pushing it to go up?
The only way to bring down monthly bills are to use less, and to use less, you need to use sensibly. -

Juz to find irresponsible reason, after oil price go down, all start to act blur... As time goes by, i think ppl will start to rebel. Oil prices fluctuate weekly. They don't do reviews weekly. Just nice when they take the price for that week is high, and when they reviewed it later again, its higher. I live in Oz and I can tell you the electrical tariffs here go up 12% annually over the past 5 years. Hasn't gone down. The worst thing is that I have to pay for the hot water I use, and its not cheap.

Its not fair to compare countries. Need to consider a lot of other factors
