How to tell if LV is genuine or fake?

By just looking at LV stuff, can we tell?
What is the easiest way? -
one is butt ugly and the other is uglier than sin?

One of the airport customs lady told me that genuine LV stuff are seamless or stiched with very few seams. The fakes have seams all over the place.
I do know genuine prada bags use real leather on some straps of thier bags. -

prada is c frm the logo.. the word prada.. the R for real is not totally join.
