i dun know where u got your source but running 1.5 Km in 14 mins is easy as hell for a 17-20 years old guy. I would think that only the more obese people can fail to run under that timing.Originally posted by hudax1:The Army selection has a system to choose which recruit goes to which 'vocation' They look at your Jogging in 1. 5 Km. ya. should be 1.5 miles which is equal to 2.4km.Originally posted by lwflee:I think he means 1.5 miles. I also think he doesn't know what he is talking about. The British Army's fitness standards are far higher than ours.
Even then, 2.4km within 14 minutes is easy for the average combat-fit SAF soldier. If he had said 12 minutes, I might still have believed it.Originally posted by freedom4ever:ya. should be 1.5 miles which is equal to 2.4km.
i 'bird' level oso haven reach...but this version is the most common i heard...you get allocated vocations before bmt...Originally posted by AF2005:one thing is for sure, regardless of physical fitness performance lousy or good, they will throw to any vocation during the sorting out before BMT.
They expect the recruit to make that minimum expectations during BMT. If not that recruit will get retraining.
