What would most probably be the verdict once the murderer(then 15) is released from jail?I know he is kept under the President's jurisdiction?orders or something like that, will he get a name change or something like that if he is released?

I saw the Police show conclusion is Anthony Ler was hanged but that kid who did the job was kept in jail indefinitely ? Maybe wait for President pardon once he is old already ?

That boy, like any other young person under the age of 18 years who has been convicted of a capital offence, was sentenced to Detention at the President's Pleasure...
Which is essentially imprisonment for an indefinite length of time. From past cases, such prisoners are usually imprisoned for at least 20 years before they are pardoned. Although legally speaking, they can be imprisoned for the rest of their natural lives. -

Ya, i really pity that boy... I think the case was shown in True Files 2 saturdays ago.
Well, at least the real plotter Anthony Ler got his just desserts.. he destroyed 4 lives:
1) That of his wife (whom he got the boy to kill),
2) His daughter (who is now an orphan),
3) His mother (who was heartbroken to have her only son sent to the gallows),
4) The boy murderer who he skilfully manipulated (who will never get to enjoy life and see the world beyond the 4 walls of his prison cell) -
Death was too cheap for this wicked man. I would have loved to see him go insane while serving a life sentence.

That guy go 50 years in jail and when he came out, he killed himself, misses jail too much. -
Those who would like to have a taste of life behind bars can check out the recently decommissioned johor baru prison now opened to tourists for RM20 per night..
The prison wardens (now tour guides) there will treat all visitors as though they were real prisoners.. The New Paper recently sent a reporter there to experience a night in prison and had a report of his experience published.
If one night's stay as a tourist there is bad enough, just imagine what 20 years in there is like, as a real prisoner. Worse still, for those sentenced to life imprisonment, where they really got nothing to look forward to.. come to think of it, it is almost as bad as the death penalty itself. -
But if that fellow had been wrongly sentenced, there is still hope that he will be cleared one day. So far in SG, if you are sentenced wrong,and found not guilty, the govt. will not compensate a single cent to you man! Fark!...and also...there's this guy, sentenced wrong for one thing, but they go find something else to tekan him...power right?
