Smoking ban in Bus Int, toilets, Bus stops and etc

Yay smoking is now ban in these places.
When today went to those places saw the signs and posters pasting everycorner of it. Saw nobody smoke at there and the air feel so much fresh
A good job done by the government.
Hope smoking will be ban inside the coffee shop or maybe outside if can
Smokers or others any opinion on it???? -
I guess everyone is happy now that we our rights are being denied of. Arnt you gordy?

It's a good start. But if there are no personnel commissioned to do random checks and award fines to errant smokers, it might be meaningless. if you watched the news, you will notice that coffeeshops and pubs/bars are next in the list of smoking ban areas.

NEA reminds public smoking ban to be extended
SINGAPORE : The National Environment Agency is reminding the public that smoking is banned at more public places from next month.
These include bus interchanges, public toilets and public swimming complexes.
Signs will be placed at these locations and enforcement action will be taken against smokers who breach the ban.
Members of the public can provide feedback on smoking offences by calling the NEA call centre at 1800-CALL-NEA (1800-225-5632), or sending an e-mail to [email protected]. - CNA /ct

haha..gaoverment also weired...the tv news never show tis afternoon around bedok busstop/interchange there,beside the haker cte..got 3 middle age gangster beat the 2 officer when they give say cannot smoke & argurment come out.......
mayb soon those eat "liao" rice officer hv to come out wid police liao... -

We just tend to bo chap when we see them smoke but complain that people ignore the problem...guess we still need to look at ourselves more and be THE ones to ACT. -

this is a very very good news. how i wish coffeeshop will have this effective immediately - too bad got to wait till next year.
i don't think it is necessary to have how many percent of the table can be classified as smoking area. just ban it at all
i hate most those smokers smoking while i am enjoying my meals. they totally spoil my appetite.
seriously, i am an easy going guy. if people smoke somewhere else, like even at bus stop, i can go away to avoid them, not a problem for me.
BUT, when they smoke in coffeeshop, i have no where to go! unless i want to get my plates, my dishes, my drinks together with me to switch to another table with maybe another smoker around nearby.
i hate even more those smokers like to directly exhale those smoke at you, thinking themselves very dashing. wa kau, i wish to get a rubbish bin to put on their pig heads.
