Please help this old lady.

i think many ppl selling tisues do it as a last resort to survive. Many of them leads a sad life. But they have strong will to survive which is something we should learn from.

glad that some1 bring such issue up.
These days, i see quite a few old citizens (some not too old really)
collecting empty cans from bus stop dustbin,
sometimes day time, sometimes even night time
Quite a sad scene to see.
Esp when the person is an old lady.
But dunno wat to do either.
parn, thou i dun usually buying tissues from old ladies/aunty
at hawker centres,
from the way u say abt the old lady, i support what u did. -
Normally I give them money ranging from $10-$50 depending how much I think they should get when I see people like this. I know they need the money more than me. There are more important things than money in this life.

i understand your kindness.. but i still resent the fact that they are selling me stuff that i can get at a price of 20 cents for $2. i believe that they can get other jobs if they are willing to try. i still dont understand the reason behind bringing a blind man around with them to sell the tissues.. wtf? i say let the blind man rest at home, and whoever had the heart to donate money to begin with, would still donate even without the blind man there.

lately i have seen 3 old folks asking for money at bedok.

Pitiful? I don't think so. These folks are just relaxing and whaling their time away as they do not have any better things to do. They get some pocket money from folks who are deluded into handing over their change.

cos i realise its $2 dollar a pack???
that means she only need to sell 10 a day to get almost $20 quite easily,
which is more than enough for a day.
but than again, i rather give to old folks like these
than those young and abled people begging for money,
or even NKF, or those school donation drives. -
You can see from your everyday life, the poor and needy are getting more and more in numbers. This is a rising trend in singapore. Older ppl lose their jobs and the employers preference in employing younger ppl makes it hard for old folks to get work.
What can the old people do? Some old people have mouths to feed and they are forced to sell tissues and begging. -
these people are everywhere.

Some tried to earn a honest living selling tissues.
They normally sell 4 packet of tissues for $1.
If the million dollar minsters dun want to help them, those who are well-off should also help one another.
I also agree it is not good to fall sick in Singapore
