Anyone knows how to catch bird?

  buy fishing lines and hooks
  
  cut about 1m of line and tie into a loop with a movable knot, like a cowboy hoop and place on floor. tie the other end to a hook and plant the hook in the grass firmly. Note* u can use a big nail or something as long as it stays firmly on ground and do this on a grass patch or someting. Make a few hoops and spread bird feed ard the hoops. Then hide at a distance and wait. when u see birds coming, run after them. the birds will be fightened and get hooked by the hoops and walla* u got a bird

  like that the bird will get injured, dont be cruel la.

  Bird catching..takes skill.Pigeons are not that much easier..but they are easy to chase into a box.

  pigeons are a lot easier, I can pounce on them and catch them before they take into the air

  Aiya go bird shop and buy birds lah.....
  It will be more meaningful setting these birds free, coz if it wasn't for you, they could have been caged for the rest of their lives...
  
  I don't see a point catching one and setting it free.....coz it's already FREE in the first place, and birds can easily find food everywhere!
  
  If someone capture you, treat you to an ice cream, and set you free...

  When i was a wee little boi... my cousin and i used to spend our weekends attempting to catch the birds.
  
  I think we had a couple of successes but i only remember one clearly. Basically, i prepared for the weekend by scaterring grain on the killing ground every single day for 5 days. Then on Saturday, we laid out trap. It consisted of a rectagular plastic basket, a long piece of string, and a couple of slippers.
  
  Basically we would suspend the basket above the bait using the string, and then we tied a butterfly knot to hold the basket in place. We used the slippers as extra weight so the basket would not bounce up when it fell.
  
  Then we hid behind some curtains and waited. Bird came. Ate grain, we released the knot, basket came down and there you go. Bird in a cage. had a few unsuccessful attempts but we got there in the end.
  
  You could try the stick propping up a basket trap as well, but i think you need a big basket for that to work since the birds will usually just stick the necks in to peck at the food. This means that they will usually have time to escape before the basket comes crashing down.
  
  Or you could just buy a mouse trap or an air rifle (if that is legal, of course)
