  FAQ : If an employee has served an employer for less than 12 continuous months, is he entitled to pro-rated AWS?
  
  MOM's Answer: No, unless this is provided for in the employment contract. or collective agreement.

  My question is why can't the law make it compulsory to pro-rate AWS for less than 12 continuous month service? Is it so hard to pro-rate?
  
  Another "benefit the elite bosses policy"?

  I DONT HAVE AWS NEMORE...MY AWS IS DIVIDED INTO 12..MY MONTHLPAY IS HIGHER

  I heard my company is also going to follow this method but no good lah. Like this, companies can cheat and say their yearly profits down and cut bonus ( monthly pay ).

  I don't see how is it detrimental to the employee when the AWS (13 month) is divided into 12 and paid evenly. Isn't it fairer to employee when he or she quits before the end of 12 consecutive months of service?
