Why customers never reciprocate the greeting by salesperson?

This laughable issue was actually brought up in the news some days ago, upon which I thought ALL human beings have the intelligence to realize that all happenings have reasons and rhyme.
Apparently, I was wrong.
Reason #1: We, the customers, pay their salaries so why should we be nice to them and please them?? They should be pleasing US!!! Reason #2: They practice favoritism over the ang mohs and well-dressed/rich-looking people. Hence, the courtesy/being nice is all FAKE, and we, the customers, know it!!
I rest my case.

If we didnt buy anything from them, we dont pay them. What if they were nice to us but we didnt buy anything from them?

lots of people in the service line don't make a lot of money and they get a lot of crap.

hmm for me..
i learnt that, a word, will lead to a sentence, a sentence will lead to a paragraph, a paragragh will lead to a conversation, and before you know it, you bought something you don't need or want.
wasting money, and time in that conversation, so why waste time? -
certain customers don't make the sales person feel as if they are slaves and owe the customers a living. These customers are a rare breed in asian countries - most asians with some bit of money act like they are kinds and queens and their money damn big. These difficult customers make the sales go through sh!t and then will "hiam" this "hiam" that. At the end not buy anything and then say all sorts of nasty things about the product and the sales. These people are never and can never be happy. My office chio bu are these type of people and they are interested in making sales people lose out and would not hesitate to call the sales person's manager to make a big fuss over a small thing.
I've been in these ranks. I don't do this sort of thing. But I also know some dishonest and low integrity sales person tried to bully/con me. I am unhappy about it -

But then most young sales see me, look me up down always decide not to even bother with me. Like those who give out flyers and then decide to skip me cause I don't actually look chio or loaded.
So I decide never to spend my money on their product. the sales who actually make my money are the older mature sales people and foreign sales staff who actually try to talk to me -
good customer service makes business sense. i spend more in shops where the service staff make me feel happy and engaged. and i tend to be a repeat customer in those shops.

It means that when the sales people become rich one day, they will pick on the other salesmen to venge the angers. Or the rich people want to show status by practising it in shopping. The receiver will remember and copy and do it later when he or she becomes rich.
