  Anyone using Acer Laptop Aspire 5504 or Travelmate 8104? Any reviews or comments on this 2 models? Which will you choose?

  I will recommend Travelmate 8104. Security is there. Easy to use. A big enough screen. A good enough sound system to play music. Can burn DVD. And got a processor fast enough. Got more RAM than other Acer models.

  Read the specifications there and compare yourself. Price is a problem though.

  Acer Travelmate series laptop or pretty much all Acer laptop the only weak thing is the life expectancy of the monitor. I shorts out in a very short life span . So becareful of how u handle the screen... e.g no pressure in the bag like stuffs presseing against the back of the monitor.

  x2, otherwise its as reliable as any other. Last I heard was that they rectified the hardware problem for good in the newer models. So no worries.

  Aspire 5504 and Travelmate 810 are very similar, but the bigger screen on the 8104 is more appealing.
  
  Personally, I would get the Turion-equipped version. It's faster and 64-bit ready.

  It looks like everyone is fine with brand acquisition - ThinkPad is safe now.

  t43 or one of the z series one?
