First thing first, you will need a wireless router. A decent one will usually set you back at about $130-150, unless you opt to get a 2nd hand one.Originally posted by PoRen:How does Starhub wireless work? I am using Starhub broadband and I am considering to use wirelss

How do I specify the wireless network card when I go Sim Lim to buy it?Originally posted by Orions Belt:First thing first, you will need a wireless router. A decent one will usually set you back at about $130-150, unless you opt to get a 2nd hand one.
Then you will need a wireless network card for your pc to connect to the router in order to surf wirelessly. The card will cost about $80 - $100.
Are you on windows XP? If you are, the wireless wizard will auto select your wireless connection after you install the network card.
Do remember to take the neccessary security measures. Refer to your router Manual for more detailed info.
This is just a brief guide, any doubts, refer to manual or contact the starhub customer care service. They'll be able to answer your doubts.
Hope this helped!
Firstly, the network card you get needs to be able to connect to your wireless router.Basically, there are 2 kinds. Wireless B and G. G, being the newer and faster kind.Originally posted by PoRen:How do I specify the wireless network card when I go Sim Lim to buy it?
