How does Starhub wireless work? I am using Starhub broadband and I am considering to use wirelss
Anyone can advice? -
Just means that you can access the internet at any of the starhub wifi hotspots, like Coffee Bean shops

Then you will need a wireless network card for your pc to connect to the router in order to surf wirelessly. The card will cost about $80 - $100.
Are you on windows XP? If you are, the wireless wizard will auto select your wireless connection after you install the network card.
Do remember to take the neccessary security measures. Refer to your router Manual for more detailed info.

Tell them wireless-G PCI card for your PC.
Also, a good router is the Linksys, will cost you about SGD 80.
Make sure you DO NOT get a card that only supports wireless-B!! It has to support G.
That's 802-11G if it's not called "wireless".
Best to get the Linksys router and a linksys PCI wifi card.
Also, remember to read the router's manual and implement WEP security so your neighbor's can't surf prawn or download illegal files using your account. -

You should check if yours is a Wireless B or G router.
Then you head down to SLS and tell them that you're looking for a wireless network card that supports the Wireless B or G of your router type. -
If you don't like the way SLS deal, you can always head towards Funan's Challenger and buy their combo deals as well. It's not much differences in prices and I feel it's better to get it over there because if anything happens in the first 7 days, they are willing to do a 1 to 1 exchange which some shops doesn't honour in SLS.
