If you transfer, your deferment granted might be revoked and you have to apply for it again. Its unlikely you will be dismissed unl;ess your attendance is so damn poor as well. at the most you stay back 1 semester to retake the modules....

Ive studied for 1.5 year ...also hopefully wont get dismiss, i bringing my mum down to see director. will miss the np frens, but also quite curious abt rp life

Theres almost no chance they will grant you deferment and you will have to serve your liability before you carry on in RP.

Because you're already 18, if you didn't get deferment, you would be serving your liability at 16.5. They gave you deferment to finish studies at SP, so technically if you're out of SP, you're in NS. Unless you're that special.........

What does ORD mean? I went to Rp this morning, they say they wont accept new students until febuary based on o lvl results. And they say I must become their student first, then they can defer my NS...im not realli clear

It means their admissions won't be open till next feb lor, like the JAE, that's when the o level results are out. The same way you apply for deferment when you're in SP loh. You have registered your National Service on Mon, 17 Jan 2005 and have been granted deferment from Full-Time National Service to pursue ELECTC&COMP ENGG at NGEE ANN POLYTECHNIC,S'PORE.
You are required to notify Deferment Office at Central Manpower Base (CMPB) immediately if you cease to pursue the course. Approval has to be sought from CMPB if you intend to request for:
a. Change the course of study.
b. Change the institution/school.
You can email to Deferment Office at [email protected].

In layman terms...it means the date U completed ur active duty NS of 2 years.
of course U must become RP student before RP can help U apply for deferment... This means that U apply to RP this coming Feb and if they accept U..then U become RP student.
NOTE:...it helps U by giving U a letter that U bring to CMPB and apply to them.The letter does not guarantee that CMPB will accede to their request.if CMPB says they will not grant deferment...U still have to go into NS at CMPB's convenience.
As far as I can remember(pls correct me if I am wrong)...U cannot apply under the JAE.U have to go thru DAE(Direct Admissions Exercise) for ex/current poly student....I tell U...it is very difficult to get in if U havent served NS...Do tell me if U do manage to pass thru DAE without NS OK? -

The RP say that they cant confirm my chance of enrolment, cause must wait until next Feb. But im pretty sure i can enrol in!!! Becuz the course requirement is low, and my O lvl result is not bad!!!
Now the main problem is whether the NS will let me defer for the RP course. Then, just now i recieve the phone call from this lady. And she say I CAN defer IF Rp let me enroll to the school!!! CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
