pls help why cd drive cant read any cd?

why? today my laptop suddenly liddat...yesterday was perfectly normal?

Check CD for any scratches.
Perhaps if you are using it to watch the fake DVDs one, sometimes the sensitivity of your drive is too low to detect it.
Have you touched the lens inside your drive? -

Yours cannot read, mine cannot write.

I used to have an external CD driver, at times when it can't read any CDs which it initially does, I will tilt it a bit and sometimes shake it, and wala... it works... but not everytime lar... -
hehe, im beginning to lyk my laptop more. slot-in drive, dun haf to worry abt accidentally touching the lens
got do any reformatting, installation or tweak any settings lately? if the drive is still running then gd for u. should be able to fix. if it does not haf any signs of running then u can still try to fix it or if condemned, replace it. gd chance 4 u to upgrade to dvd drive too -
How old is your laptop? Nowadays, electronics goods don't last for 2 years. If it is more than 2 years old, replace with an CD Drive. If less than 2 years old, bring your laptop to the authorized dealer and asked them to repair for you.
