flat or round earth?

Today we are debating in school whether earth is round or flat. My teacher showed me some resources which proved that earth is flat. It makes sense to me. The only thing is that it is pretty religious, a lot of their proof comes from the Bible. The only exception is one guy called Parallax, managed to prove that earth is flat, even with allowance for errors.

Psalm 96:10: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable ...”
Psalm 104:5: “Thou didst fix the earth on its foundation so that it never can be shaken.”
Isaiah 45:18: “...who made the earth and fashioned it, and himself fixed it fast...”
In the bible (I have check all the commonly used bible - NIV, NKJV, KJV, ESV, NSAB, .... There is no problem):
To play safe, I use KJV here:

Earth is round, cos...
(1) Why do you observe that the North Star as directly about you at the North Pole, but to someone at the Equator, it just appears barely at the horizon?
(2) The Earth's shadow on the moon is always round, which is true only if the Earth is spherical.
