  Is the Biotechnology course at MDIS recognised by the industry in singapore? Anybody here from MDIS?

  if you can go to poly, go to poly. it is cheaper and better.

  hum.... not pretty sure about the details if it is recongised by singapore. But if you get the chance go poly or university it's comfrimed to be recongised by singapore and other countries.

  Its not for me. Its for someone from overseas who is interested in studying an engineering degree in singapore.
  
  The entry requirments for NUS & NTU are quite stringent, iam not sure whether he can make it or not. The next best option is places like MDIS, SMU or SIM.
  
  How are these institutions rated in the industry? Is it difficult to secure a job, any personal experiances from anyone?

  Interested to find out too? Seems like Biotechnology won't have a very good market locally (as in job availability), especially when players are going more into nanotech?

  True, the government is promoting nanaotech heavily but areas like life sciences, health services etc are also being promoted. If iam not wrong, the aim is to make singapore a world class research center for life sciences in a decade or so.
  
  IMHO at this point the future for biotech looks good but you never know what will happen in the future. Look at the manufacturing sector here, a few years ago they were doing fine and now everyone is shifting to china. It could happen for nanotech or biotech too.

  my bet, the nanotech bubble will burst like the dot-com boom bubble did in the late 90s.
