Help for my pet old dog

Just need some kind advise. I have a dog ...a semi multiese.. * sorry dont know how to spell. LOL.
Is a dog my sister got it from spca few yrs ago.. a abused dog.. so when we had it..the dog is very old vet say abt 16 plus... n he is very skin ALL bone.
Then this few days.. he did not eat his food.. we try everyway we think of.. mixing the food to tons of water.. so the food is soft.., n even put 2 kinds of bowl. 1 is normal..food the other is mix wif power vatimans..which he use to eat last last time. He did try to eat..but always drop on floor.. He left i think few teeth VERY FEW...
And we use to try soft food for him but he dont eat...so we not sure whether to try and buy again?
Any other ways u pet lover know of..of My old old dog.. he is a very small dog.
Today ..in my room heard him barkk..so scary... i ask what happen ...they say he is actually sleeping.. then wake up n bark..n frighten .... .and he pee .. The scene is so sad =(
My sis also say maybe he is old n cant control his pee anymore..becos she found out that his bed with the towel..is wet..sigh... -

That sounds very sad... I feel for your dog...
Small dogs average life span is between 12-15 years. I guess being at 16 years and having been abused, I really don't know why there are some people who still do this.
I can't help you with anything, but the barking thing during sleep and waking up to pee, I believe he is having nightmares (we humans have it, and we call it post-traumatic stress disorders) and flashbacks of it's past.
I may not be quite knowledgeable of veterinerean medicine, but I take pity... -

Better to mentally prepared if god recalls it one day... not that I want to curse it... I'm a dog- lover myself

No we did not send to vet.. we trying to observe few days..
Yeah..i know he be leaving.. sooner or later.. but he really a cute good dog... becos he dont like people to touch him..he will be very scare... i think is the abuse he use to take.* the owner did not give food*..when we get the dog is 10-13 yr i think..
must take 2yrs..or so.. he let use pat on his head awhile..or so.. even bathing we dont dare to help.. cos he will scream..n scare... so he get very dirty.. but..we cant stand so we ask a gloomer. ..the gloomer also very scare...scare my dog..who name is tiny.. will die suddenly..or the gloomer himself will heart attack.. lol. but they did a very gd job.. EXTRA care of him. but we 1 or 2 month then let him gloomer..place.
sigh....he is really very cute.tiny. -

by the way.. My dog tougue always sick out side way... i thought nothing.. but when i use a spoon trying to dip the power form of the food to his tongue he lick..it.. BUT..TO MY SURPRISE.. the whole tongue not in?.!!..the food then i dip on the tongue is still here..i wonder why..? and..advise? if no..i think..i better take him to vet... but....if anybody know..tell me..why.
Becos taking him to vet..is ...tough..also he will shout..n cry.! Cos 1 day..he went vet.. he scare until his tongue went purple.... is hurts...to c this -
hmm. u can try feeding ur doggy cat food. a lot of dogs like the 'smell' of cat food cos more protein... maybe dilute it a bit...
Hmmm... my dog died a few months ago from old age... we brought him to the vet and think the vet put him on a drip and we brought him home... think it really helped to make him feel more 'comfortable' for his last few weeks.... that was when he could no longer eat also... very old liao...
alternatively, you can check out if a vet can visit your house... can be quite expensive though...

But anyway helping a dog is better than helping kidney patient. A dog is a dog, at least it doesn't know how to con people. it is more faithful than stupid human But alas we can only do so much for a dog. There is a reason why he born dog. To teach us human about loyalty. His work is done.
It is time for the dog to be recalled by GOD. everybdy's time will come. We cant do anything. They say all dogs go to heaven.
His soul will go to heaven . Rest assured.
the only thing now u can do is make sure he has his last few meal before he goes forever. -

Reminds me of my ex-dog. It was like that for years, and I kept refusing my father's suggestion to put it away.
It was until one day when I really had no choice. I avoided the scene so bad, I tried to sleep my way through when my mother was giving him his last shower that faithful morning.
When I heard the doorbell, I knew that was it. Despite how much I didn't want to witness that scene, I dashed out of my bed and took a last look at him from my room... He was already blind, but somehow I felt that he too, gave me a last "glance" towards my direction. That was when my mother and sister noticed I was acually behind them, waving at him, for the last time.
My mother asked that guy, so what would be done to him? He replied in a "I've-done-it-so-many-times-I-don't-feel-a-thing-anymore" tone, that he would be put to death. I knew that that was a fact, but still it really pained my heart.
That day was actually one of the worst days in my life. I knew I had to let him go, I've already held on to him for years when he should already be in a better place, given his condition.
That's the thing bout keeping pets. Even till today, I still keep his picture in my wallet, and it still pains me whenever I thought of the last moment before he was taken away. I wept my blanket wet man. -
