Why square TV?

  Why is it so? Can't we have rectangular, round or even triangle TV?

  It is not cannot. It is just maybe beyond our human brain intelligence. If they seek help from aliens think they can do it just like the way Pyramids are built

  The answers for the time being base on present economy condition :
  
  1. Square TV means cheaper cost of shipping.
  
  In economy term : YOu can put in more TV in a Container and ship more from Jpn to Sin.
  
  2. In psychology term : your eyes feel more comfortable to watch if you compare to Triangle shape.

  good question. actually there should be some other shapes. but few people will buy that, I think.

  round TV... wait the TV roll off the table...
  during EPL the guys would think TV is foot ball and kick it...

  There used to be round television screens back in the 60's. I think modern technology dictates the shape of the picture.....most screens are rectangular. The aspect ratio of width to height is 4:3, whereas wide screen is 16:9....the same as the cinema.

  A1. Presently, Television producers creativity are restricted largely due to how its packaging come about. Squarish in this sense.
  I am going to defied this by inverting a long tube or a long triangle tube as a new TV packaging. I believed that the volume of square = volume of long round tube except that one is stack and the other is elongated.
  Once this new service is in place, producers will have another avenue for creativity and hence who do they look for for packing... its me..

  Maybe it's the way we view images in a frame. Paintings are on rectangular or square canvases. Traditionally, the square / rectangle shape frames the images we view. So this translates to TV screens.
