royal jelly is the stuff worker bees put into the cell of those they chose to be the next Queen Bee..
supposedly good for a lot of things.. general health, good skin, you know.. the usual spin on health food stuff..
however, if you are asthmatic, do NOT even think about using the stuff.. it can trigger a fatal asthmatic attack.. it's been documented.. -

But I think not suitable for pregnant woman, though it's no harm for the foetus.
I know of a woman who took that during pregnancy and
the child turned out hyperactive. She believes royal jelly was
the cause, though we dunno for sure. -

i think i recall that royal jelly is the queen bee's food.
also royal jelly is given to a uhh...baby bee in order to make it a queen bee. bee's are born queens, they're fed to become queens.
