Mover/transportation service

  I'm going to move to a new place.
  
  Had bad experiences with the past mover service. They agreed to move all the stuffs at certain price, then came on the day, they wanted more than what was agreed. Got no choice as the stuff had been packed and need moved out of the place. But felt cheated.
  
  Anyone has recommendation for a good, honest and economic mover/transportation service?

  What kind of stuff U need to shift?
  
  maybe can DIY or rent pick-up/lorry with driver?
