What are the diff between 3G and GPRS..

  3G is like a Big Train running on 8 lanes highway whereas Gprs is like a bus running on a 2 lanes highway.
  
  Now, If there is no MC(marginal cost) incurred over MR(Marginal Revenue), then what Telco dont pass the saving to users by charging less??? In IT, there is no MC(marginal Cost) in the long run, thus Marginal Revenue will pure profit...
  
  Why? Since MC = 0 or almost zero, why we dont enjoy maximum benefits???

  Let say a program is a finish product... it runs infinitely or forever, so we shall say there is no cost involved.
  
  Now compare to a product manufacture in a factory, to produce an additional output you need to add additional resource thus incurred marginal cost.
  
  So, in tis respect, there is little or insignificant marginal cost...

  3G is like a Train that can carry many passengers at one go.. of cuz high tech leh... but the cost should not be far from GPRS....which is also high tech lah...

  if i'm not mistaken, 3G has more to do with the complete network. 3G is supposedly the replacement for GPRS, and is based on either the CDMA2000, WCDMA, or the TD-SCDMA. GPRS has always been regarded as the interim technology till a better and faster technology can be developed and implemented. as such, the infrastructure for a 3G network is different from the infrastructure of supporting GPRS.
  
  3G networks allow continous streaming while GPRS, as it's name sake suggests, transfers data in packets.

  3G is diff from Gprs in its protocol. 3G uses wcdma whereas Gprs uses WAP. No, 3G is not replacing Gprs in term of Tech and it is more of a commercial decision which one to use.
  
  3G is like a 8 lanes highway thus smooth traffice whereas Gprs is 2 lanes highway.
