Yes, how the heck did you manage to swallow a 50 cent coin? Well if you're certain you did swallow one, then perhaps you should consult a doctor. The coin might become an intestinal obstruction. Or it is also possible for the coin to be discharged thru normal means (passing motion). Time frame for discharge is about 24hrs.
However, if you chose not to consult a doctor, please look out for the following symptoms.
*Abdominal pain.
*Vomitting.
*Pain while trying to pass motion.
*Bleeding from the rectum.
*Any combination or all of the above.
These symptoms might only occur after 24hrs or more when your intestine becomes fully or partially blocked.
Would recommend you DO consult a doctor just to be safe. -

hmm my advice is to go see he doctor now 50 cents is pretty big to come out normally and leving it in the body might cause dmg to tissue esp if the coin degrades to have sharp edges or protrusions. not to mention becoming a plug
