  That day I was browsing thru a friend's shared folder on the local network. It detected a trojan in my friend's comp and advised against touching a particular file. I heed it and didn't bother to tell my friend his comp is infected. My friend is running norton AV 2005.

  I can make a fake virus program in VB6 and it will test your antivirus.
  
  The "virus" is like... 1996 one? lol!
  
  If your antivirus cannot detect, good luck. If 1996 virus cannot detect, let along 2005 one.
