Old news, but anyone released that all the main games for the Megaman series can be linked together?
Capcom is sure scheming.
Lets start with the Megaman: Battle Network series for the Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS.
Megaman Battle Network Series:
Timeline:
200X
Story:
The world has becomed highly dependant on the internet. Almost every machines and mechanism is being controlled by the internet.
Dr Hikari created the PErsonal Terminal, PET and a program called Net Navi. Its gives programs the ability to feel and think for themselves.
Everybody has a PET. It can read and retrieve emails, Net Battle with your friend's Net Navi and fight viruses on the internet.
Our main character, Lan Hikari's Net Navi, Megaman. EXE is created by his father Dr Hikari ( The original Dr Hikari's son ).
Megaman. EXE is also known as Hub, Lan's twin brother who died. Dr Hikari managed to transferred Hub's life force into a Net Navi program.
The main villian was Dr Willy of the WWW ( Read as World 3 ).
Things to take note of: Hikari means Light.
Megaman Series:
Timeline: 20XX
Dr Thomas Light created Megaman, the first robot that could feel and think for itself.
The main villian was Dr Willy.
Assumptions: Dr Light and Dr Willy could be descendants of Lan Hikari and the previous Dr Willy. Not to mention, many of the robots in the Megaman series have referenes to the Megaman Battle Network series.
Dr Willy created Bass, whom later betrayed him in Megaman and Bass for the Gameboy Advance.
Megaman X Series:
Timeline: 21XX
A mysterious capsule was found by Dr Cain. The capsule contained a robot that could feel and think for itself. On the capsule itself, there was a note by Dr Thomas Light stating that the robot was placed in hibernation for 100 years for stablization of the robot. The robot's name was Megaman X.
Dr Cain studied Megaman X and created a city of robots that could feel and think for themselves called Reploids.
Some Reploids became unstable and thus, were labelled as Mavericks and were hunted down by special task force called Maverick Hunters.
Some time later, a capsule was found containing a red Reploid. It killed many Maverick Hunters and was later defeated by the Maverick Hunter called Sigma.
The red Reploid name's was Zero.
In Megaman X4, there was a cutscene of a shadow of Dr Willy laughing away as Zero killed many other Reploids.
Assumptions: Bass betrayed Dr Willy, so he created Zero. Zero damaged Megaman so badly that he needed to be reconstructed and thus, Megaman X is borned.
In Megaman X5, X mentioned that he wanted to created a place where Reploids and humans could coexist together called the Elysium.
In Megaman X5, there was an alternate ending whereby Zero consulted a mysterious person that would hibernate him for 120 years to get rid of the evil virus in his body for good.
Megaman Zero Series:
Timeline: About 100 years after Megaman X5.
The world became chaotic after X became corrupted and a team of explorers went to search for the legendary Zero who was sealed away 100 years ago.
Megaman Legends Series:
Timeline: ? ( An extremely long time after Megaman X )
The world was covered with water and people have to get around the world using flying ships. People called Diggers explore ruins searching for treasure. The most wanted treasure was the Mother Lode.
A mysterious baby and a monkey called Data was adopted by Dr Barrel and raised together with his daughter, Roll. The baby was named Megaman.
Megaman was a Digger and Roll was his Spotter. A Spotter gives directions to the Digger while on explorations.
The main villians were the Bonnes, a family of pirates. The Bonnes family logo happened to be skull shaped too, similar to Dr Willy's.
In Megaman Legends, the dugeons and ruins seemed of a higher technology compared to the people living in that world. There was also a place in space called the Elysium.
Assumptions: X finally created Elysium, a place where Reploids and humans could coexist together. However, the earth was being badly damaged by some unknown forces. The humans living in the Elysium sooned died out and Megaman Trigger was the first clone of the last real human.
