Hola! haha I am interested in spanish language learning myself from a cd, and studying from book. but I still cant remember much. may go to attend class at NUS extension http://www.nus.edu.sg/nex/lllan00137.htm next year.

Has it gotta do with the early centuries of Spanish conquest and colonization of countries as they travel ard the world? Something similar to the British and Dutch as they are sea travellers to explore new countries and in most cases colonise them and claim those countries as their own? Hence of cuz their language get spread and spoken very fast?
Those were days before WWII start and their power decline as the Germans took the world by storm. After that, most of the countries cannot get back their past glories and as a result America rise up after that and still currently is.

Do you mean Spanish conquer the Portugese earlier on? Or vice versa? Language usually spread by two dominant means. The economic trade between countries and the annexation of a country. So spain rule portugal or vice versa before? -
