Are there many single moms out there?

I have read the sunday straits times and notice that there are really a lot of single moms out there.
Some are wedlock who are with married man with primary family of his own but still got so call 'mistress' and even got a family with her.
Some could be divorcee. (So am I.)
anyone read this?
in Chinese newspaper, there are a lot of death cases about lovers and etc...that even involve family such as kids' death.....
Is it all men's faults or is it the women????

even within each case, it is his story vs. her story... wat is wrong or right lies in the conscient... -
it is so sad when it involve kid's life.....and i find that it is more and more common nowaday in singapore....man having another family out there.

I have always believe sex money power love politics are some common traits in Human race. A lot of world tragedies revolve around such themes. It is common not only in spore but in the whole world.
Wat I am more interested is in alien abduction and alien human sexual intimacy, offspring from aliens etc which I believe in spore are still very rare indeed

Chinese papers like to sensationalize stories for increase sales.
I do agree there is an increase in the number of dysfunctional families as a result of many factors and changes in our environment, demographics and social arena.
But who is to judge what really happened hence one has to be fair that when a r/s breaks down, both parties are usually at fault to a certain extend. -
the sunday straits times also mentioned that there are an increase in wedlock babies. which mean that single mom who give birth to the baby just put their lover name in the birth cert. .... how could it be when you need to put the IC etc.....unless the lover agree to it...but i thou marriage cert is also needed????

yes! there are quite a number of single mums out there. there is an organisation known as HELP FSC (Help Every Lone Parent Family Service Centre) who caters for this group of people...
it is both encouraging yet dismaying to see what they do in there. encouraging because you can see how these mothers uphold each other as they struggle through single-parenting. dismaying because the numbers are, indeed, on the rising... this brings a doubt to mind: what is marriage, in this modern society? -
