A soldier of a foreign country felt uneasy about his career going nowhere seeks the help of an astrologer, who told him that in the next few months, heÂ’ll meet with bloodshed. The astrologer advised that it will be inevitable.
Remembering that he has an upcoming live-firing exercise next month which is critical for his promotion, he implemented EXTRA safety measures. The exercise went on smoothly, without a hitch. The soldier was pleased with himself and determined that mankind can INDEED overcome HeavenÂ’s will!!
When he booked out of his camp to return home, he met with an accident and died in a pool of blood.

When we are old and poor or down and out, go East Coast Park to eat "wind" lor..FOC...HahaOriginally posted by mistyblue:last time if don't study, parents say we will end up cleaning sh!t and sweeping the roads.
now the bangala are cleaning sh!t and sweeping the roads. So cannot even do that if we want.
then, poorer old people are picking up rubbish and drink cans to make some money to buy some food.
give a few more years, when we are old and poor, no more drink cans to pick, cannot afford a house, cannot buy any food, no more charity groups or being poor cannot qualify charity groups, cannot stay in east coast beach or the ground floor, no more left overs in hawker centers to eat. Maybe need to eat grass roots or tree bark.

it's the overall destiny that rules; though your freewill still plays a small part.Originally posted by thinkdifferent:Still I try to rule my life myself, it's my life.
Only a small part? Then it's like we are just figures in a game which we can't influence. I'm a rebel, nobody will rule me!Originally posted by Mr Fugue:it's the overall destiny that rules; though your freewill still plays a small part.

I know, but as I said I'm kinda rebel. I don't like to sit and do nothing. Though I can't influence everything, I want to influence atleast as much as possible.Originally posted by ShutterBug:If YOU think, you can affect your destiny in life, I wish you all the best in your endeavour - however fruitful or fruitless as it may turn out....
Let me tell you; the only way you can stop or alter TIME, is by dying.
You are currently alive, hence every second ticks by whether you're having a good time or suffering in hospital bed.
In so long as we're governed by TIME, destiny is NOT in our hands in its entirety. We can only bend or make minute changes in our destiny with so much sweat and effort. But in the end, we are still more less destined to die in a certain fashion.
Our journey before destination can be shaped by our efforts, but nothing much, can be known, predicted, or changed as regards to how we will expire.
However, some people here chooses to ignore these facts, assuming he/she is the "master" of his own life. In this case, hence only TIME, will show him/her. The truth in the end, would be hard to tell others when it comes. Because NO ONE, has ever.
