Is there any pain on bending down with your knees straight? If there is, it is most likely a slipped disc (this often happens in between 20-30 years old). This is self limiting and [b]90% of people suffering from this illness will be fine after 1-2 weeks of rest and analgesics.

Noperz... I don't like to use Apley... it's too thick... though it has a Concise and Precise (Apley AG, Solomon L; CONCISE SYSTEM OF ORTHOPEDICS AND FRACTURES; 2nd Edition; Butterworth Heinemann) text, I still prefer Dandy DJ, Edwards DJ; ESSENTIAL ORTHOPEDICS AND TRAUMA; 4th Edition; Churchill Livingstone; but that was a long time ago since I picked the book up to read... Now everything comes from practice at workOriginally posted by cornyfish2000:From Apley?
