For me, I'd value my Mum's tears more, because she is less likely to shed tears. Something serious must have happened and if was caused by me, I'd feel very guilty, unless they are tears of joy. The act of letting the most important and loved woman in your life down is plain criminal.
As for girlfriend, it's most likely because I did something stupid. Apologise and coax her lor. The reason is definitely important, so that I know what not to do in future, or how to console her if it wasn't my fault.

shou xin shi rou...shou bei ye shi rou...if it happens to me...I will see who is more correct in my eyes and base my decision on that...might not be the best decision around but I would be happier with it...
whenever anyone cries...it is always important to know the reason...even for guys....I mean...U dont have a habit of crying without reason,right?
