What is our educational ministry trying to prove?

Dictionaries are already being used in Chinese composition exams anyway, so the move to allow electronic ones is just a logical step forward. But I'm surprised though that the only approved model(s) come from Creative. I wonder whether they have looked at most of the alternatives in the market and concluded that Creative's is the best.
But perhaps it's best not to over-rely on technology. What if your electronic dictionary run out of battery or suddenly malfunctioned for whatever reason during the exam? The paper dictionary at least won't let you down in that way. -
It has gotten until this stage huh? Technology and more technology... well, personally I think us humans are getting more and more lazy as technology advances, especially to those who can afford it lar, of course... hmmm...
