  It just means you are using an open proxy. In other words, all your network traffics are routed through a proxy server.
  
  If you did not personnaly set up any private proxy servers, it might be a Singnet proxy etc.
  
  unless you are using 56k, you can and should disable the proxy. The option is under Tools - Options - General - Connection Settings (For firefox only)
