Maybe the MDA is trying to give people the impression that they are being moinitored so as to discourage wacko/individuals (potential terrorist) from trying to get these info off the net. CLose few sites and let people know big brother gahmen is watching. The thing is, Freedom comes with certain responsibilities and obligations,
we must not confuse freedom with having no authorities or control, but the onus of policing people's actions shifts from the state/goverment to the people themselves .... we become responsible for our own actions. A rhectorical question then: do you think singapore is ready for unbridled, western style freedom ? ... -

best is just ban all isp from excessing site outside singapore...
that will slove all problem.
if they want a safe and obedience country then dont talk about freedom of speech. we shouldn't even be introduced freedom of speech in the first place.
and the tv show should also be all local tv show which is happy ever after drama. -
Luckily they never ban those local politicial websites for eg Workers Party, Singapore Democrat Party and its SDP radio which seems the MDA is not interfering it. If like that or ban everywhere it would be very boring already like North Korea(only their citizens can use their highly secured Intranet only)

well, if you happen to hit one of those site, at most it reflects that you are not permitted to visit this particular site...but beware though, cos if u hit on them, even though you are restricted from surfing, you are being tracked by MDA.
they have a system, which as said, 100 urls and keep track which IP hits on them...but i tell u, its more than a 100...they dun show to the public the actual sites being mointored or ban.... -
