DVD quality sound any better?

  What do u audiophiles feel about DVD? I sense that the sound is just too "clean" it takes away the natural feel of it. DVD quality sound is said to realisitically depict real life sound but i could not catch that idea.And i think Dialogues get muted in DVD movies

  DVD is good for some types of music which does not need noise.
  ARR's assistant sound engineer once commented he removed some "noise" from one of his songs and it lacked something. ARR suggested to add back the "noise" to it took a different feel.

  I find dialogue muted regardless of media storage.
