Review bus fare concession hours for senior citizens

I understand that the two transport operators have two different timings for concession rates to senior citizens.
It's time the Public Transport Council recognises the importance of senior citizens and review the timings. If possible there should be no restrictions at all. This is necessary for the following reasons:
1. Why penalise senior citizens who are still working? They are not entitled to the concessions outside those hours.
2. With the need for family bonds, senior citizens may have to travel beyond the concession time after gathering with their children.
More should be done to recognise our senior citizens. Without them Singapore will not be what she is today.

Don't expect PTC to approve a fare revision, even if it is for senior citizens.
After all, they just approved a fare hike.
And in this business, there is no compassion.
Hell i'd rather they design buses to be handicap-friendly. -

Frankly, TV Mobile was a failure. An experiment in poor marketing strategy. A huge Tuition fee gone down the drain and written off by SBS transit.

As for the diff in snr citizen fare, it is SMRT Bus and SMRT Train that charges higher for PM Peak -

The TV Mobile installed on SBS TransitÂ’s (SBST) buses is a commercial initiative from the Media Corporation of Singapore. Based on TV MobileÂ’s customer satisfaction survey carried out by Media Research, 89% of the interviewees enjoyed watching the TV programmes on buses. SBST has also not received significant number of adverse feedback after the initial period when TV Mobile has some teething technical problems.
TV Mobile bears the full costs of installation, maintenance and hardware cost of the equipment. In addition, SBST is paid for the leasing of the space on the buses. Hence, there are no additional costs to SBST as result of TV Mobile.

Even if I can remember, the 2 CNG buses were brought by NEA instead, because SBS wun be buying it as it cost 30% more and same 30% add cost -

I would prefer them to pay attention to basic creature comforts like spacious and comfortable seats and non-stepped entrances and exits to help the Handicapped before eyeing entertainment outlooks.
Anyway the connection bug has not really been solved, transmission hangs a lot over bumps and sometimes for no reason at all. -

Sv 96 already has 2 NAC buses, this one is not exchange, but add to the fleet -
a retiree went to some major tourism spots to check if retirees are given discount or free entrance. he listed down and provided the list to one of the papers for publication. to his surprise most either dont give discount or make it a point not to remind people of it.

i agree with him that retirees should either be given a discount or free entrance as a form of reward for their contribution to the country.
unfortunately most if not all businesses in singapore thinks only about profit.
