Street Sales

  I came across a young lady yesterdau on my way to Borders. she stopped me and introduced herself as some sales person. then she fish out a small bottle of aromatic oil and ask me to hold for her...then she proceed to take out another 'tester' and rub the oil on my hand and ask me to smell....
  
  she began talking about Bodyshop and how expensive they sell their aromatic oil and how cheap hers is. after some sales talk..she began to take out another bottle of some other supposedly 'free gift' and attempted to ask me to hold for her...i am especially pissed with the idea of asking ur customer to hold something he/she has not paid for as if he/she is obligated to pay for them.
  
  how you feel about this 'hold for me' sales tactic?

  I think when faced with these situations, it's best to avoid... there have been a lot of cases in Malaysia alone where people are cheated off their money, savings, fixed deposits and properties when some guys approached them and asked them to hold something for them... they somehow fall prey to the 'robbers' with some kind of tactics they use on them...
  
  I'm sure some of you might have heard of the paper-wrapped sweet issue recently...
