3G .... make money or ...

or lose money??? Personally, I love 3G very much.............I dream about it, make love to it, sleep with it or day dream about it.........
Ya, we have 3G but not much use leh..... It is like we have the most expensive car but it is not for show.....
I have high expectation for it. I hope soon we can see more 3G services.
do you have any ideas?? -
3g is a stepping stone for something else. besides, its usage is wrong.. the way they promote the technology makes people think that its ONLY for video conference.

Waste of money.
But knowing the local companies mindset, somehow, they'll figure out a way to force the technology on us one day and make us waste money instead.

3G.. 3.5G.. 4G is heading towards wi-LAN technology, so its more like a true wireless "broadband" internet service than providing mere video conference capabilities.
japan's i-mode was using 2.5G. i guess they managed to optimized it for their network.. FOMA (3G) was later introduced, and for public usage i think it was like 384kbps although lab test could reach to 19mbps.
this info could be kinda old, i blogged on it in april so.. i juz refered to dat. google for more details la.1st G - GSM, etc... history.
3G still have many problems in its technology.. too many i think. like cost for one.
2nd G - GSM, etc.. circuit switching and digital data travelled through pure analog pipe.
2.5 G - GSM/GPRS, etc.. circuit switching, there is an overlay for data to be transfered but still focused on analog transfer therefore you need to dial up.
3rd G - HSDPA.. etc... diversed packet switching and circuit switching allowing a variety of data to be transferred wirelessly as a telephony network. -

not anytime soon la.. i think. coz very expensive, but the speed n bandwidth will improve alot, den they can spread out the cost, making it cheaper for everyone..
oni those who need 24/7 den get it like unlimited plan lor. these r my guesses la. dunno wad they up to. -
