Precisely. The kids and teens of this forum will grow up into the pillars of our society in a few years. Correcting their childish behaviour starting from an internet message board seems apt to me. How would you like if everywhere you make a statement in Singapore people just scold you just because they don't agree? Wouldn't you rather they sit down and have an intelligent discussion with you about your differences?

From what I see, it seems that you think this is how the world should be, with brainless people running about shouting curses at people who disagree with them, giving vague or minimal explanations, and you leave these people as they are because it's the "real world". Seems there are differences in opinion here ...
One point of view - freedom of speech, unpretentious, etc
Another point of view - intelligent debate, more refrained, etc
I guess it all boils down to different strokes for different folks
