  Yeah Bishan gets my vote alright. Great amenities and close to city and great schools around. Transport's convenient too.

  Given a choice, it doesn't really matter. But far-flung and "ulu" estates are my favorite!

  No LRT planned for jurong leh, only extention of 2 stations,
  
  I would prefer Redhill, near orchard near MRt food center, swimming pool and can even see shenton way if staying high enough

  There are some rather old flats around the Bugis area. I wouldn't mind staying there either, with Bugis Junction and the new National Library so close by. Can even walk to City Hall, Boat Quay and Orchard. Imagine how much transport money you can save during weekends!
