The entire Bishan was a Cemetary & it was a huge one, my school bus used to pass through it after picking me up from Ang Mo Kio on the way to Toa Payoh. I think it was called Pek San Teng in those days. The cemetary stretched all the way to the boundaries of Marymount Road next to the Shunfu estate. Thats why u find so many columbariums in that area & casket sellers in Sin Ming area plus a big crematorium at bright hill also.

There are many Ghosts in Bishan, many years ago before Bishan was developed, the area around RI was cemetery and burial grounds. Don't know about the current residential areas though. But there are many reports of wandering ghosts and spirits in Bishan. Dunno if anybody remembered a Samsui woman was found dead in a construction lift with her head and body severed by the opened lift door in Bishan? The unit that her head overlooked, there has been a murder of an Indian woman in that very same unit.

There's a rumour that if you were to go strolling in Bishan Park in the evening or later, do bring along some sweets. There is this particular bridge in Bishan Park that has a soul of a little child. Every time someone pass the bridge, the child would ask for a candy. If you don't have any, the child might just scratch your face or show you something bloody

Does anyone have any first-hand experience with ghosts?
I dun mean "feels creepy" or "strange sounds" and not "my fren says..."
The reason I ask is that I would like to believe about ghosts, but just never see.
I am not talking about "Oh - okay, step there and ghost will haunt you" and then when nothing happens, they say "yah, just look at the bad luck u are having" or "that's why u have flu"
I mean seeing with your own eyes an actual ghost or spirit....
I am not saying they dun exist - just saying I'd like to experience first hand. -

Orchard HaunteD? Well.. many years ago, orchard road was a BIG cementary. Taka is alright la..doesn;t feel so spooky. Its Orchard Plaza(next to Cuppage) which I feel uncomfy in. THe toilets are creepy!

i heard that orchard mrt's male toilet has an unhappy male ghost crying in one of the cubicles on certain nights.
