They dun care one. Just walk past between the camera and the object/person to be taken a pic of. I saw plenty.... really plenty of them in Shanghai. None has the courtesy to wait for your to snap the picture before walking past. -

think abt this-- the chinese goes to a western restaurant and has to use forks and knives, which unfortunately, isn't his strongest suit. singaporeans (who like to feel good about themselves by pointing out others' shortcomings, all too often, all too selectively), are quick to label them "suaku". On the contrary when you see an ang moh using chopsticks clumsily in a local setting, no one would label him "suaku". some of you here may even find it endearing.
are you all sick in the hear or something?
and by the way, just because our society is modelled on western norms, unfortunately all too often, out society emcompasses the worst of east and worst of west.

COURTESY is also a problem in Singapore among its people, but it is being addressed, and some improvements are starting to show.
The courtesy problem here after much observation over a few years, are attributed by the followings:
>> small land space and the lack of land; people have been living shoulder to shoulder, tolerances may have worn thin.
>> jobs are harder and harder to come by or keep; race for survival makes people selfish
>> pace of living; as we all know, there are only so many hours in a day. Being overworked and committed to caring for a family, leaves people with little time or room in their hearts to be courteous.
With people from China, it's not like that. Judging from the way the amble around, they come from a very slow paced lifestyle. They have this heck-care attitude about them I really HATE!
They eat all kinds of crap that walks or crawls, and many damnable diseases came from their land. -
They are different? UNEXPOSED is more a likely word to have used!
China has been shut out from the rest of the world for so long. Now that they're out to play, the turn out to be the playground's biggest bully!
I feel they should keep to themselves. Stay shut from the rest of the world! Keep your SARS and whatever diseases for their own use. -
Recently I went on a short trip with a group of friend. One guy brought his PRC gf along that we all have not met. On 2nd, the guy has to meet his client, so he asked his gf to go shopping for about 2 hours. The PRC got the cheek to ask for 1000 dollars from him to spend at the shopping mall.

The classmate asked her if she is afraid of running into 'Huai Ren' (bad ppl).
The China gal's reply surprised me.
She says "Here Singapore (ppl) is not considered bad ppl. if you want to see genuine bad ppl, come to China." -

If you so pro-China, try renting out just one bedroom to a China tenant.
I have a friend who stupidly rented out her bedroom to two China nationals here for studies - they raided her fridge, finished up her rice, her supply of eggs, then tell her that it's finished - as if they have the right to consume her groceries!
The renatl agreement specifically detailed that they are NOT allowed to consume anything in the household, except those the tenants bought for themselves!
They knew what the contract meant, but they just pretentiously forgot.
