  ms outlook. it has many many more features, like calendar, notes, alarm etc.

  download the calendar extension and it's overall better than outlook

  actually outlook is now called "MS Office Outlook"
  
  and one of the reasons i'm using it is that only it can check for mail on my school's ms exchange server.

  yeah. Use Mozilla Firefox as Web Browser. Safer than IE.
