Just follow what everyone does and you should be fine...
I've gone to several ones, and really, there's not much to follow... they are very nice people, for all I know
Just remember to know how to salam and that's all... oh, and they sit down on the floor to eat as well, but some nowadays prefer to use the dining table... -
just go in, shake everybody's hand, smile, be nice, be polite to the elderly, eat, drink, laugh.
just have a good time -
eh just go nia lor, then wish them selamat hari raya... unless it is a potluck...

Make sure you clean your finger nails clean clean becoz you are going to eat without forks and spoon, YES, you are going to eat with your hands.
Use only your right hand to eat and not your left. Becoz left hand, for a muslim, is only use to wash your butt. ( Correct me if I'm wrong ).
And prepare for a culture shock too. -

my friends say differently leh. haha.
he oso said last time ppl oso eat with hand. but he only eat with hand with special food he likes.
but its a really unique experience -
actually they will supply fork and spoons one lor, esp when they see you are not a Malay...but I guess it will please them if you offer to eat with hands
And when you salam, if you are a girl, dun salam the males, cos they are supposed to have physical contact of any sort with the opposite sex -

wah..u are in for a slumptous meal...malay home-cooked food usually very nice one and quite heavy also...
