The Bible says this and the Bible says that.
The Bible is a bunch of Books put together by many different people.
And then the Bible was editted by the Romans...
People will laugh when they hear on the news that a bunch of freaks believe that the mothership will come and take them to xandar-9 or something. They laugh because they say, who could believe such nonsense without questioning....
If you're going to stand for a religion...Great...(I like several of them myself)...But at least do a little bit of questioning and digging into the roots of the tradition...
Well, if Jesus exist, it doesnt mean that the Bible is all true.Originally posted by JennTS:well...
if Jesus exists, then the Bible exists.
since the Bible doesn't say anything of that sort, it is therefore untrue.
if Jesus doesn't exist, then he couldn't have had a daughter.
either way its untrue.
if its a work of fiction as you said, that means its not true right? so why did people come up with breaking the da vinci code? they want to prove something thats not true wrong? so does that mean breaking the da vinci code is fiction too? the stuff in it are lies?Originally posted by dumbdumb!:... may i remind u guys.. that the da vinci code is a work of fiction...?
its sold as a fiction for a reason guys... read to be entertained.. but not to be informed..
??? what the F r u tokking about?Originally posted by dumbdumb!:uh.. so jesus was crucified, came back to life, went up to heaven (documented in the bible)
then came down secretly from heaven because he was horny and bore a child thus creating the biggest conspiracy ever? haha.. yea right.
aiya. the bible doesn't deny that because it didn't happen.
i mean why should it deny something which didn't happen. u get what i mean?
what do you want to see in the bible? out of the blue u see this verse
"Jesus didn't get married, nope, he didn't. Uh huh..Definitely didn't. And yes, he didn't have a bastard child no one knew about. Can we get on with the story now?"
he human and also god .....and I don't think jesus had a daugther........Originally posted by DrTech:Afterall, he is still...

I will be appreciate if you don't use these words on the religion.Originally posted by dumbdumb!:uh.. so jesus was crucified, came back to life, went up to heaven (documented in the bible)

That in itself is one of the many fatal contridictions that I've gradually realised and eventually rejected when I was a Christian Theistic believer. Although it was hard having to give up all that emotional security, especially after years of indoctrination.Originally posted by ghimpheng:he human and also god ........
considering he is a staunch christian himself? yeap...Originally posted by James1:I will be appreciate if you don't use these words on the religion.

The same can be said of Buddhists who irrationally believes in reincarnation when they could not possibly have knowledge of that with a reasonable level of certainty. No religious believes can be rational. But religion is one of the way which we humans evolved to deal with the unknowns like our innate fear of a permenant 'death'. Though it is also important not to loose sight of that fact me thinks.Originally posted by M©+square:many christians cannot face reality. James1 is one of the many.
But the bible also mentions about reincarnation. So does the Vedas.Originally posted by Gablurr:The same can be said of Buddhists who irrationally believes in reincarnation when they could not possibly have knowledge of that with a reasonable level of certainty. That doesn't make it 'rational'. It is still a faith based believe.Originally posted by shade343:But the bible also mentions about reincarnation. So does the Vedas.
