Wad makes a good rpg game

..1 thing just many characters will do..most rpg got 3 classes warrior, archer , mage or something liddat....

yea, final fantasy makes an effort to improve on the battle system each time and oso the graphics. u can see a big jump in graphics quality from ff7 to ff8

Frunkly, I dun really like the battle system in FF8, but i luv the rest of them hehe. FF8 is abit deviated from FF~

easy to go to your destination, cos those no direction sense one will get lost

IMO, most rpgs, like final fantasy, doesn't have a objective menu
u only get to see it once and then u cant see it again -
shining force if you like mindless hack slash rpgs.
shining force neo is the latest.
i like it because graphics like diablo 2, gameplay like diablo 2 too, but with a difference, diablo 2 very hard to get surround, in SFN haha getting mobbed by 20-30 monsters is a very common event. best part is when you use a sword or something and you clear them with one hit...awww it feels good man. ahaha -
btw, FF has its own RPG genre, u just cant compare the series with diablo, warcraft or some even suggest maple

the monsters dun always the same few. and must be cute, like got pony tails lah, wear tuxedo lah, or just simply move around wading like a duck. yah, that's about all...

IMHO, my ideal RPG is:
- Good story line, but not fixed ending. for different decision u made should affect the ending of the story.(you play as the role of the main charater, that's why u should have the right to choose things.)
- complex class/job system.
- battle system that's complex enuff but not too troublesome to do things.
- nice background music.(that's an important part)
- takes you long enuff to complete the game.
- in some part of the game, some kind of puzzle must be solved to pass certain area or get certain item. things like pushing box, solving riddle.
- convenient to navigate around the old places the u have been before.(it's too troublesome to walk all the way to an old town for something) But u need to walk your way to new places. -
the ability for a game to learn and write its own story....

For me, i would go for classic 2d gameplay (Suikoden etc) I just love those types of game. And of course, die die must have some fmvs

My only regret is i never got to play the current batch of rpgs. Missed out on quite alot of gems -

Isn't that ranked as one of the worst RPGs around? I didn't played it before though. All I know that it's famous for being bad.
