so there will b alot of different topics introduced..psych is a v broad based subject: e.g. Biological, abnomal, social, cognitive and developmental psych. prob ur module wld tok bout e more general issues in these topics..
maybe one thing to get used to is tat there is no right or wrong in psych, plus there are many theories in psych. its impt to know who came up w wat theory, and wat the experiment is all about, and how you can use it in ur ans or exam qn can le..
my last words: it can b rather dry n techical sometimes, beginners usually find it memory consuming.. -

DSM-IV....yeah had nightmare on it la..so many things to remember..different criterias for different disorders..almost pulled out all of my hair tat time for tat exam -

Yeah... Remember the millions of different criteria for each sub-diagnosis like Schizophrenia, you will have Schizophreniform, Schizoaffective Disorders, Brief Psychotic Disorders, Acute Stress Reaction, Delusional Disorders and so much more...
So confusing... but once you see patients, things will be much easier... -

but its quite hard to find such jobs in SG..market v small..but to practise it, need masters n abv...so deg. is practically useless
